Andrew is the Managing Director of Strategic Corporate Finance.

He established Strategic Corporate Finance in June 2000 and since then the firm has completed over 70 transactions.

Andrew is a recent winner of Insiders’ South Yorkshire “Dealmaker of the Year” award.

He has over 20 years experience of carrying out acquisitions, disposals and management buy-outs / buy-ins. Andrew’s experience is across a wide variety of industries and deal sizes. He ensures that the firm always provides a “hands on” partner led service.

In respect of management buy-outs / buy-ins, Andrew says “It is best to involve us at the earliest possible opportunity. That way we can negotiate a commercially sound deal and one that can be funded.”

“Our services include negotiating the deal, raising the finance and most importantly project managing the transaction from start to finish.“

Another service that Strategic Corporate Finance has a reputation for delivering excellent results is finding buyers for companies, negotiating outline terms and project managing the transaction through to legal completion.

Greg joined Strategic Corporate Finance in 2006 from Deloitte in Nottingham.

Greg has worked on many transactions including management buy-outs, corporate acquisitions and company disposals. He has also undertaken due diligence work for clients as part of their acquisition process.

Greg is also heavily involved in searching for acquisition targets for companies. “We methodically search for suitable targets using a variety of methods, including databases and our extensive network of contacts. This pro-active approach delivers results which would not be obtained by relying on listings of companies being marketed for sale”.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Sheffield, Marianne was the Financial Accountant at the UK subsidiary of a large US business for two years before moving into corporate finance in 2000.

Marianne re-joined Strategic Corporate Finance in November 2010 after having previously worked at the firm for over seven years until early 2008.

She has built up considerable corporate finance experience across a number of industry sectors, working on numerous successful Acquisitions, Management Buy Outs, Buy Ins and Company Disposals.

Marianne also has a substantial amount of experience in Financial Due Diligence reporting and has carried out several assignments on behalf of financial institutions, corporate clients and management buy-in teams.

Commenting on the specialist nature of the services provided by Strategic Corporate Finance, Marianne said “Being an independent corporate finance boutique means that we are able to work comfortably alongside accountants who have clients wishing to sell or acquire a business without any conflicts of interest arising.”

Catherine qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) in Birmingham and after a stint as a financial analyst at HSBC, worked in a very active M&A team of a listed telecoms business. Here Catherine worked on numerous transactions involving mainly the acquisition of technology businesses, but some company disposals as well. Catherine also project managed the post-acquisition integration of a wireless network planning business with 200 employees located in UK, USA and Australia.

After a short spell as a small business advisor, where she was regularly called upon to advise on exit plans and business valuations, Catherine spent 5 years working in the corporate finance team at Deloitte in Nottingham where she led the team’s business development activities. She also regularly supported the deal team by carrying out research into potential buyers for privately owned businesses across a number of different sectors including: retail, security, electronic manufacturing, health and residential care.

Prior to joining Strategic, Catherine worked as the business development manager for a small firm of accountants, but couldn’t resist the lure back into the world of corporate finance.
