Packaging solutions business

Long established, international packaging solutions business that has already completed a number of successful strategic international acquisitions and is currently looking to make a further acquisition in the UK.
The Company has many years of experience in the packaging space, and has the financial and managerial resources in place, along with board approval, to ensure a quick and definitive response to any potential acquisition opportunities.
Acquisitions are required with the following characteristics;
• A distributor of packaging solutions to businesses supplying food wholesalers/retailers;
• Those supplying film and trays to fruit and vegetable suppliers are of particular interest, but the broader food sector is also relevant;
• Have a minimum revenue stream of £5m, and have reported sound operating profits over the past few years. That said, the Company would consider acquiring a business that has performed well over recent years, however is suffering from the current adverse macroeconomic environment;
• Preferred Location is within the broader Midlands region but opportunities in the North East of England would also be of interest;
• A strong second tier management team, which is willing to remain with the business and a loyal team of employees. Subject to understanding ownership of client relationships the company is relaxed about the shareholders looking to exit at completion
