Business Activities:

The opportunity has arisen to acquire an established Domiciliary Care Business based on the Central South Coast.

Established in 1999, the company has strong relationships with the Local Authority, PCT and Healthcare Trust and their exceptional reputation means they are also routinely employed to provide services to private clients and through the Direct Payment scheme, which contributes approximately 25% of the total hours. The services provided range from general personal care through to visiting greater dependency clients that require overnight, live-in and specialist procedures.

The company has 46 PAYE staff including carers, office staff, a training officer, HR and the registered manager, with a strong second tier management team in place. All mandatory training is carried out in-house along with some specialist courses needed for high dependency clients. Approximately half of the staff are qualified to NVQ Level 2 or above and the remainder are in the process of studying for the qualification.

The company operates from leasehold property which was converted to meet the needs of the business in the long term. The Freehold is owned by the vendor and therefore there is flexibility for the purchaser in terms of acquiring the freehold, agreeing a leasehold or relocating the operation.

The vendor is seeking an exit to develop other business interests and it is anticipated his limited role in overseeing the financial management of the business and processing wages will be absorbed by the acquiring business. The Registered Manager will remain with the business in the short term post sale to ensure a smooth handover of the operation to the new owners. The Assistant Manager is currently being trained to take over the RM role post sale.
